I’ve always been passionate about photography since picking up my dad’s camera in high school. It started by finding the beauty in everyday objects and has now evolved into finding the beauty in connections.

It’s always exciting for me to be able to capture photo milestones and cherished moments in beautiful locations. I love being able to show you a reflection of your life that’s beautiful and unique to this moment in time. And that’s pretty darn special and so incredibly fulfilling.

You’ll find that I’m based in Pocatello and do a lot of my work here and in the surrounding areas. I love photographing most types of sessions including families, seniors, portraits, weddings, couples, lifestyle newborns, and more. I always shoot for a fun and relaxed atmosphere that encourages everyone to feel comfortable so they’ll bring out those natural smiles and laughter. If feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera is a concern of yours, I have ten+ years of experience and offer prompts and guidance throughout the whole session. You won’t ever have to worry about not knowing what to do.

Style

My shooting style captures a good mix of both posed and candid photos with minimal, true to color editing which helps create a timeless and authentic feel for your special milestones.

You’ll get those cute “Christmas card photos” where everyone is smiling along with some fun and sweet ones mixed in there as well.

My intention is to capture the posed portraits along with the essence of your love and connections in a way that feels authentic and beautiful to you.

    Even before I saw the pictures I was thoroughly impressed with Trina. She was so quick to angle us differently or have us take a step or two in a different direction so that we ended up with the best possible light or whatever it is only photographers can see that make such a huge difference! Approach

The key to capturing natural photos is to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Here’s my approach to achieving a collection of shots you’ll treasure for years to come, from booking all the way to gallery delivery.

01.

booking & styling

Once your date is booked, you’ll be sent a questionnaire that helps me understand your preferences, expectations, and vision for your photos. I’ll ask intimate questions to get a sense of your personalities and the overall vibe of your wedding.

To help with outfit selections, style guides are included to maximize outfit impact. Please, please don’t hesitate to ask for advice or help with styling, I’m always happy to help with color schemes and outfit textures that might look best in your chosen location

02.

time &location

The timing of your photography can make all the difference. I’ll help you plan your session time that gives us the best chance at getting the look you’re trying to achieve.

For location, we can go somewhere you love, you can give me an idea of what you’d like, I can make suggestions, or you can pick a spot on my location guide (which is emailed over after booking) of great spots that Pocatello has to offer.

03.

Once at the session, I’ll guide you guys through different poses for those cute smiling shots, as well as fun activities that encourage laughter for those candid moments.

Keep in mind that for those candid moments, it’s okay to let your hair down a little and have a bit of fun. This will bring about moments that unfold naturally. Honest expressions, gestures, and interactions between you all that translate beautifully in your photos. Authenticity is an essential aspect, and it is often the difference between a mediocre and an excellent photograph.

04.

delivery

Once I have your previews ready, you’ll get to pick your favorite images from that gallery, final edits will be done, and you’ll be able to download and print them however you’d like.

Photo turn-around times:

Weddings: 6-8 weeks

All other sessions: 3-4 weeks
